Charlotte Akor, MD

Corpus Christi , Texas
Ophthalmology - Expert in most areas of ophthalmology including pediatric ophthalmology, general ophthalmology, ophthalmic surgery, ocular injury, and ocular trauma. I also perform DBQ and write Nexus letters.
In addition to my clinic practice of general and pediatric ophthalmology, I am one of the main participants in trauma call rotation at my hospital. I currently perform quality assurance, utilization review, and peer chart reviews. I have done this for 5+ years. I have also performed disability evaluations for veterans evaluation services for several years. I have also been an expert witness for cases involving patients with ophthalmology problems. While serving as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Texas of Houston, I participated in the trauma call rotation at one of the largest and busiest medical centers in the country.
