Education: Dr. Said Soubra obtained his MD from American University of Beirut in Lebanon in 1996, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at University of Kansas School of Medicine in 2000. He subsequently completed fellowships in Pulmonary, Critical care, Transplant, and Sleep Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in 2003. Dr. Soubra is board certified through the American Board of Sleep Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Pulmonary Disease. Employment: Dr. Soubra is the founder and president of Pulmonary Specialty Group (PSG), a nationwide network of pulmonologists specializing in forensic evaluations. PSG has an established clinic in Texas and its larger network of providers covers Iowa, Maryland, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Virginia. In addition, Dr. Soubra is currently the Vice President and National Director of Critical Care for a large physician owned practice. Teaching and Research: Dr. Soubra has over 20 years of teaching experience including a previous appointment at Baylor College of Medicine, and his current positions as a clinical professor at Texas A&M Medical School (Director, Critical Care Medicine) and Texas State University (Director, Sleep Laboratory). His research interests include pulmonary diseases (e.g., COPD, pneumonia, pulmonary fibrosis, and pulmonary hypertension), microvascular thrombosis in sepsis, and lung transplantation.
