Averill, MD is the Founding Physician, Medical Director and Principal Investigator of St. Francis Sleep, Allergy & Lung Institute, which includes a multi-specialty practice, a clinical research division and a diagnostic sleep center. He is also a Clinical Professor of Pulmonary Medicine at HCA Florida Largo Hospital. His board certifications include internal medicine, sleep medicine, critical care, and pulmonary medicine. With 38 years of experience in medicine, Dr. Averill is a nationally renowned speaker on healthcare issues and has been featured on TV and radio. His name appears on lists in “America’s Top Physicians”, “Best Physicians in the United States”, “Best Physicians in Florida”, and Best Physicians in Tampa Bay”. Additionally, his medical research and dozens of published articles have received commendation and acclaim. Dr. Averill earned his medical degree from New York Medical College.
