He is also a Clinical Professor of Pulmonary Medicine at HCA Florida Largo Hospital. His current board certifications include internal medicine, sleep medicine, and pulmonary medicine, and he was board certified in critical care for 32 years. With 38 years of experience in medicine, Dr. Averill is a nationally renowned speaker on healthcare issues and has been featured on TV and radio.
