Beejal Amin, MD is a board-certified neurosurgeon specializing in the surgical treatment of brain and spine conditions. His area of clinical expertise is in the treatment of cervical and lumbar spine disorders. He focuses on minimally invasive treatment of degenerative diseases of the neck and low back, spinal deformity surgery, and surgical treatment of spinal tumors. In addition to the treatment of spinal disorders, he specializes in the treatment of peripheral nerve conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and ulnar neuropathy. Dr. Amin performs evaluations in Hinsdale. Dr. Amin earned his medical degree at Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL. He completed his residency in neurological surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. Following residency, he completed a fellowship in Complex Spine surgery at University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Medical Center. He has been an invited guest lecturer at national and international meetings. He has published more than 10 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals. He has also authored several book chapters on spine surgery techniques. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), AANS/CNS Joint Section of Spine and Peripheral Nerve Disorders, and the North American Spine Society (NASS).
