Dr. Sharna Wood is a SEAK-trained consulting neuropsychologist who has independently practiced in Texas since 2009, although she has worked in psychological and neuropsychological assessment since 2001. Her clinical training was primarily in the public hospital system in Fort Worth, but she experienced a wide variety of training settings, including neurocognitive rehabilitation and rural outreach. Her professional career includes several faculty and director positions in the areas of psychology and neuropsychology. Dr. Wood’s professional affiliations include the National Alliance of Professional Providers of Psychology, where she serves on the administrative board and as associate editor of The Clinical Practitioner. She is also a member of Aerospace Medical Association, and the National Academy of Neuropsychology. Dr. Wood is currently training for boarding in medical psychology through the American Board of Medical Psychology. Dr. Wood has two physical locations: Cleburne (near Fort Worth), and Longview (in east Texas). She also regularly travels to evaluate cases for whom travel is difficult or ill-advised. Typical turnaround time on consultative reports is approximately 3 weeks, but rush service is available. In addition to private neuropsychology practice, Dr. Wood is also a respected lecturer and researcher, and has assisted major test publishers in field data collection for psychological and neuropsychological assessment instruments for over a decade.
